Product Security Engineer (Web3)

Location: Remote within approved hiring jurisdictions, including the United States, Brazil, and Canada; working hours must overlap with Eastern Time (ET).

Annual cash compensation: $150,000–$200,000 for Zone 2 locations and $90,000–$125,000 for Zone 3 remote U.S. locations. Additional long-term incentives and comprehensive benefits are provided.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain security systems that strengthen Chainlink products.
• Identify vulnerabilities and potential attack paths through systematic technical reviews.
• Implement and test reliable, maintainable security-focused software.
• Evaluate security risks and engineering tradeoffs to inform technical decisions.
• Deliver security engineering solutions from implementation through deployment and incorporate technical review findings.

Requirements

• Demonstrated software development experience, including writing, debugging, and maintaining production-quality code.
• Hands-on programming experience in Rust or Go, with effective implementation and problem-solving skills.
• Experience designing, building, or implementing security systems, with an understanding of security considerations in technical design.
• Experience reviewing security systems, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and evaluating technical risks.

Nice to have

• A portfolio of engineering work, including publicly accessible code contributions or repositories.
• Previous technical work, research, or projects demonstrating engagement with security engineering.
• Experience evaluating systems for security weaknesses, attack paths, and potential improvements.
• Experience developing and shipping security products, including explaining implementation decisions and technical tradeoffs.
• Experience developing or reviewing systems in Web3 or blockchain environments.
• Ownership of large engineering projects or experience leading small technical teams.
• Hands-on security engineering experience for AI pipelines or AI-based systems.
