Sr Support Engineer (Cloud AWS): Provide Tier 2/3 technical escalation support for AWS customers, managing high-severity incidents, complex architectural reviews, and proactive optimization across AWS services with an accent on incident management, broad AWS domain expertise, and rapid resolution. Focus on leading critical incident triage, root cause analysis, and mentoring junior engineers while contributing to internal tooling and automation.

What you will do
- Lead triage, diagnosis, and resolution of critical AWS incidents (P1/P2).
- Perform root cause analysis and deliver customer-facing post-mortem reports.
- Coordinate with Technical Account Managers, service teams, and customers during outages.
- Troubleshoot and optimize a broad range of AWS services including compute, storage, database, networking, security, analytics, AI/ML, and developer tools.
- Mentor junior engineers and maintain internal knowledge base.
- Contribute to internal tooling such as dashboards, alerting, and automation.
Requirements
- Must have 8+ years of hands-on AWS experience.
- AWS Professional-level certification (Solutions Architect Pro or DevOps Engineer Pro) plus at least one Specialty certification.
- Broad practical knowledge across multiple AWS domains including compute, storage, database, networking, security, and management tools.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform.
- Strong scripting skills in Python (boto3) and shell scripting with automation experience.
- Proven incident response skills with familiarity in ITIL problem management and blameless post-mortems.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
