What you will do

• Create highly reliable software systems controlling hundreds of satellites in low earth orbit.
• Improve satellite constellation performance, security, and availability through software design.
• Develop software from core needs through prototyping, testing, and on-orbit rollout.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to build next-generation satellite capabilities including sensors and inter-satellite communication.
• Write Linux-based C++ software for processors and microcontrollers.
• Build automated ground-based software integrating data processing with satellite command and control.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or 7+ years professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance.
• U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, refugee, or asylee status per ITAR regulations.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• Experience with debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing.

• Experience with networking protocols (TCP, UDP).
• Linux kernel development experience.
• High-performance C++ systems development.
• Image data processing and machine learning knowledge.
