Staff Machine Learning Scientist (AI): Developing and productizing machine learning features for Fin, an AI customer agent, with an accent on algorithm research, exploratory data analysis, and offline evaluation. Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office

What you will do
- Define new machine learning features and identify opportunities to create customer value.
- Frame product problems with Product and Design stakeholders and conduct exploratory data analysis.
- Research pragmatic and innovative algorithms, tools, and machine learning approaches.
- Evaluate algorithms offline, measure customer impact, and use findings to guide iteration.
- Work with engineers to move prototypes into production and build reliable ML products.
- Hire, mentor, and support the career development of engineers while raising technical and operational standards.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of applied machine learning experience.
- Previous experience in a senior or staff-level data science, software development, or academic role.
- Demonstrated impact on products or teams and experience as the primary technical leader for a team.
- Strong programming, communication, and scientific thinking skills, with comfort working through ambiguity.
- Advanced education in machine learning or a related field, typically at MSc level.
- Ability to work in the Dublin office at least three days per week under the hybrid policy.
Nice to have
- Track record of shipping machine learning products.
- PhD or experience in a research environment.
- Deep experience in NLP, deep learning, Bayesian methods, reinforcement learning, or clustering.
- Strong statistics or mathematics background, plus visualization, data, SQL, or matplotlib experience.
