What you will do

• Lead hiring, mentoring, and career development of ML engineers
• Raise technical standards for performance, reliability, and operational excellence
• Identify and frame ML opportunities to create customer value
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and research to deeply understand problems
• Research and select appropriate algorithms and tools, balancing pragmatism and innovation
• Collaborate with engineers to bring prototypes to production and measure impact

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work hybrid in Dublin, Ireland
• 5-8 years applied ML experience with senior or staff level background
• Strong programming and communication skills
• Experience as a technical leader and mentor
• Advanced education in ML or related field (e.g. MSc)
• Scientific thinking and comfort with ambiguity

Nice to have

• PhD or research environment experience
• Deep expertise in NLP, deep learning, Bayesian methods, reinforcement learning, clustering
• Strong statistics, math, and data visualization skills
