Senior Staff Backend Engineer (Web3 Crypto): Own and evolve core authentication infrastructure securing hirify.global accounts with an accent on multi-factor authentication, key management, and hardened token flows. Focus on designing and operating scalable, secure authentication systems and APIs to reduce account-takeover risk and empower product teams.

What you will do

Architect and ship production-grade improvements to the authentication stack including secure enclaves and hardened token flows.
Design and build modern secrets management systems to enhance security and functionality.
Define and maintain stable, versioned authentication APIs for downstream teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless rollouts of authentication features.
Lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers within the team.

Requirements

7+ years of backend experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Rust, NestJS or similar frameworks.
Deep expertise in authentication protocols such as OAuth2/OIDC, WebAuthn/Passkeys, OTP, and key management services (AWS KMS, Vault).
Strong system design and architecture skills with focus on scalability, maintainability, and fault tolerance.
Familiarity with Web3 and crypto concepts including on-chain data and wallet integrations.
Leadership experience mentoring engineers and leading technical projects.
English proficiency at least B2 (job posting in English).
