Phd Research Intern (AI): Conduct research on cutting-edge AI and multimedia technologies in collaboration with Dolby's Advanced Technology Group in Sydney with an accent on machine learning, multimodal media, and generative AI. Location: Must be based in Australia, Sydney

What you will do

Define a research project aligned with your PhD and Dolby's interests.
Collaborate closely with Dolby research teams to understand industry research.
Conduct experiments and develop novel research in AI and multimedia.
Publish research results in conferences or journals.
Hone skills in AI, machine learning, and creative media tools.

Requirements

Must be a PhD student at an Australian university residing in Australia.
Graduation date after September 2026.
Background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Science, Music Technology, Media Technology, or Media Content Creation.
Ability to creatively design experiments and use relevant programming or media tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Max/MSP).
English proficiency at least B2.
