TL;DR

Ux Designer (UI/UX Design): Designing and improving user experiences for digital services primarily in the UK public sector with an accent on user research, usability testing, and accessibility. What you will do

• Plan and conduct user research including interviews and surveys to identify user needs and pain points.
• Create artefacts such as personas, user journeys, and service blueprints based on research.
• Design wireframes, interactive prototypes, and iterate based on feedback.
• Conduct usability testing and analyze results to improve digital systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, users, business analysts, and technical teams in agile environments.
• Advocate for user-centered design and contribute to the UX community of practice.

Requirements

• Must be eligible for SC clearance: 5 years UK residency and right to work in the UK.
• Strong portfolio of UX design work with experience in user research and usability testing.
• Proficiency in prototyping and design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Axure, and Balsamiq.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 guidelines and inclusive design principles.
• Comfortable working in agile teams and collaborating across disciplines.
• Good communication and analytical skills to present insights clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and analytics tools like Google Analytics.
