Nekki is a game development studio and the creator of Shadow Fight Arena, Shadow Fight 3, Shadow Fight 2, and Vector. The total number of registered users across Nekki games exceeds 1.5 billion worldwide. The studio develops and releases games for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms.

We are currently looking for a Senior Unreal Engine Developer to join the team of our upcoming single-player third-person action game SPINE. This role is focused on owning and evolving the game UI systems built with Unreal Engine 5. SPINE is a cinematic gun-fu action game featuring a deep storyline, unique setting, cutscenes, memorable bosses, character progression, and intense third-person combat with firearms.

🚀 Responsibilities
• Own the development, maintenance, and evolution of UI systems in the game
• Collaborate closely with UI artists to support workflows and provide Unreal Engine UI best practices
• Support both new and existing systems, including documentation creation and maintenance
• Prevent architectural degradation and technical debt in UI systems
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for other teams
• Participate in engineering planning, technical discovery, estimation, and prioritization
• Ensure high code quality, maintainability, and participation in code reviews

📚 Required Skills
• 2+ years of commercial game development experience
• Experience shipping Unreal Engine games for PC or consoles
• Experience architecting UI systems for cross-platform games
• Strong proficiency in C++
• Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in cross-disciplinary environments
• Fluent communication in Russian

👍 Nice to Have
• Experience with CommonUI
• Experience with UMG Viewmodel
• Knowledge of Gameplay Systems and GAS
• Experience creating Custom Editor Tools
• Experience working on third-person action games
• Hands-on experience with Unreal Engine source code
