Pentester/Ethical Hacker (Cybersecurity)

Location: Must already live in the Netherlands; hybrid work with flexible remote options or the Leiden office.

What you will do

• Perform penetration tests on web applications, APIs, mobile apps, internal and external networks, and IoT devices.
• Review AWS, Azure, and GCP environments for misconfigurations and security risks.
• Examine source code, identify and exploit vulnerabilities, and demonstrate their impact.
• Conduct or contribute to red team exercises, phishing simulations, and social engineering assessments.
• Write clear, actionable reports, discuss findings with clients, and support remediation.
• Research new vulnerabilities and attack techniques while collaborating with the security team and sharing knowledge.

Requirements

• Experience in penetration testing, security consulting, or a related field.
• Knowledge of common vulnerabilities and tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, and Metasploit.
• Basic scripting skills in Python and Bash, plus networking knowledge.
• A curious, creative, persistent hacker mindset and the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• Already living in the Netherlands and not requiring relocation.

Nice to have

• Mobile testing experience on iOS or Android.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Reverse engineering, malware analysis, red team engagements, or advanced exploitation experience.
• Certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, eCPPT, eMAPT, or eCPTX.
• Dutch language skills.
