What you will do

• Design, build, and scale distributed backend systems serving millions of users
• Drive end-to-end delivery of backend features including design, implementation, deployment, and monitoring
• Architect real-time, low-latency APIs and backend services for AI-driven conversational systems
• Develop cloud-native services using Java or Python with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Ensure system resiliency, fault tolerance, and compliance in high-throughput environments
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and frontend teams to deliver robust AI-powered systems

Requirements

• English: strong communication skills required
• BSc/BEng or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years professional backend engineering experience
• Proficiency in Java (17+), Python, or Node.js
• Experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS)
• Strong background in high availability, failover, and resiliency design

Nice to have

• Experience with Java frameworks (Micronaut, Spring)
• Experience with distributed data systems like Redis, Apache Kafka
• Exposure to LLM integration and AI observability
• Performance tuning and scaling in high-throughput environments
• Familiarity with GitOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code
