What you will do

• Coordinate and lead hardware engineering teams across electrical, mechanical, firmware, system test, and compliance.
• Define team milestones and manage critical paths aligned with program targets.
• Manage dependencies between hardware engineering and other functions including Product, Design, Science, Software, and Supply Chain.
• Drive NPI build activities ensuring product maturity and launch readiness through all build phases.
• Lead risk analysis, change management, and resource planning for hardware programs.
• Mentor team members and foster a collaborative working environment.

Requirements

• Location: Must be located in or near San Francisco, California with ability to collaborate in-office and travel globally
• 8-12+ years experience in end-to-end product development including electronics, mechanics, firmware, system test, and supply chain.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira and SmartSheet.
• Knowledge of PLM systems like Team Center or Arena.
• Proven track record leading complex products through NPI to scaled mass production.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
