TL;DR

Carplay Engineer (Embedded IoT Dev): Integrate, debug, and optimize Apple CarPlay projection (wired & wireless) on next-generation automotive infotainment platforms with an accent on connectivity protocols, system integration, and certification compliance. Focus on developing seamless projection experiences, resolving performance issues, and collaborating across OS, audio, and HMI teams.

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India (onsite)

What you will do

  • Integrate and configure Apple CarPlay projection frameworks on infotainment platforms (QNX, Linux, Android Automotive).
  • Enable and maintain wired and wireless CarPlay connectivity (USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth).
  • Debug session management, pairing, authentication, and connection handover issues.
  • Collaborate with audio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and HMI teams for seamless integration.
  • Support Apple certification and OEM feature bring-up and testing.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be onsite in Chennai, India.
  • 4-8 years of experience in CarPlay development, projection, or infotainment connectivity.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Apple CarPlay architecture and protocols (wired & wireless).
  • Experience with USB (MFi stack), Wi-Fi streaming, Bluetooth handover, and debugging tools.
  • Familiarity with infotainment OS platforms and audio/HMI integration.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Qualcomm automotive platforms and Android Auto.
  • Knowledge of MFi licensing and Apple CarPlay certification processes.
  • Exposure to cloud/OTA frameworks for projection updates.
