TL;DR

Risk Protection Analyst (Fintech): Analyze large datasets to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the company from fraud and abuse with an accent on data-driven decision making, machine learning, and quantitative research. Focus on designing and implementing anti-abuse solutions, monitoring key metrics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure operational integrity.

Location: Onsite in Limassol, Cyprus with full relocation support

What you will do

  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
  • Conduct experiments such as A/B testing and backtesting to recommend improvements.
  • Develop and implement solutions to reduce risk and prevent abusive behavior.
  • Monitor business performance and market dynamics for optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with R&D, risk management, trading, security, and product teams.
  • Build and maintain analytical tools, reports, and dashboards.

Requirements

  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Cyprus.
  • Degree in Mathematical Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in data and risk analysis, quantitative research, and working with large datasets.
  • Technical proficiency in Python, R, SQL, statistics, mathematical modeling, and machine learning.
  • Experience in anti-fraud functions within financial sector is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills, and collaborative mindset.
