What you will do

• Lead the team responsible for workflow enhancements such as chatbots and auto-assignment systems integrated with AI features.
• Evaluate software solutions and system performance, supervising the software development team.
• Drive stability, scalability, and resiliency improvements of the Helpshift platform.
• Manage development, deployment, and integration of software solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and advocate for team members.
• Plan project strategies, hire team members, and collaborate with other leaders and departments.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Pune, Maharashtra, India
• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience and 3+ years in team management.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Java, Clojure, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, Kafka, Redis, and production systems.

Nice to have

• Experience managing 10+ engineers.
• Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
• Knowledge of functional programming (Clojure preferred).
• Experience with MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, or PostgreSQL at scale.
