What you will do

• Establish and manage data strategies, controls, and ownership across data lifecycle.
• Define enterprise data domains, taxonomy, classification, and usage frameworks.
• Review data concerns, develop remediation strategies, and certify data fitness.
• Ensure compliance with global and local laws and regulations.
• Guide data stewards in implementing governance policies and operating models.
• Track KPIs and collaborate with technology and business teams.

Requirements

• Location: Must be onsite in Bengaluru, India
• English: B2 level or higher
• MBA or Masters in Economics, IT, Computer Applications, or Engineering with 5-8 years experience in data governance, including 2 years in banking.
• Strong knowledge of banking domain, audit frameworks, data quality and governance, metadata management, and risk metrics.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and visualization tools.
• Ability to gather requirements, analyze metadata, and drive remediation strategies.

Nice to have

• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Cognos, SAS BI, or Qlikview.
• Skills in automation and process optimization.
