What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend applications.
• Improve hirify.global’s Transportation Management Platform.
• Partner with Product Managers, Designers, UXR, and Data Scientists to bring algorithmic solutions to users.
• Leverage Uber's internal tools and new tech from Compute, Platform, and Machine Learning teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong problem-solving and coding skills.
• Experience with one or more of Java, Go, C, or C++.
• Experience with microservice architecture and systems design.
• Experience developing highly scalable backend microservices.

Nice to have

• BS, MS or PhD degree in computer science or a related field.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with MySQL or Oracle databases.
• Proven experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers.
• Knowledge of the logistics and freight industry.
