Data Scientist (Finance)

TL;DR

Data Scientist (Core) (Fintech): Improving existing algorithms and building new PoCs to deliver data-driven solutions enhancing product performance with an accent on researching and developing PoCs into scalable data products. Focus on continually solving complex data problems in collaboration with product owners, engineers and data scientists.

Location: Remote in Lithuania, Poland, Porto, Portugal, Romania, Spain, UAE. Office locations in Dubai, Krakow, Lisbon, Madrid, Vilnius.

Salary: Krakow: PLN30,900 - PLN43,000 gross monthly, Vilnius: €7,500 - €9,500 gross monthly, Poland: PLN30,900 - PLN43,000 gross monthly, Lithuania: €7,500 - €9,500 gross monthly. Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process.

What you will do

• Improving existing algorithms.
• Building new PoCs.

• Collaborating with product owners, engineers and data scientists to continually solve complex data problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in STEM (Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering).
• Solid knowledge of data science tools including Python, SQL and production frameworks.
• Demonstrated knowledge of probability and statistics fundamentals.
• The ability to think strategically and diagnose problems accurately.
• Experience productionising research into scalable solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner with Product Owners and senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Masters or PhD).
• Experience with additional programming languages such as Java, Scala or C++.
• Experience working in anti-fraud functions.
• Experience working at a large-scale global tech company.
• Participation in Olympiad competitions in Physics, Mathematics, Economics or Programming at school or university level.
