TL;DR

What you will do

  • Lead and mentor the Unreal technical animation team, providing technical guidance and fostering skills development.
  • Design, implement, and maintain advanced animation systems using Unreal Engine technologies such as Animation Blueprints and Control Rig.
  • Develop and support animation tools and pipelines using Python, Unreal Blueprints, and C++.
  • Collaborate closely with character art and engineering teams to translate artistic needs into technical solutions.
  • Research and prototype new animation techniques to improve quality and workflow efficiency.
  • Establish and document best practices for the technical animation pipeline across projects.

Requirements

  • Must have 5+ years of experience in technical animation with senior or lead roles.
  • Expertise in Unreal Engine animation systems including Animation Blueprints, State Machines, and Control Rig.
  • Proven track record of shipping multiple AA+ titles in a technical animation capacity.
  • Strong skills in character rigging, skinning, and animation pipeline development.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work fully remote within Europe and align with core working hours (10am-4pm CET).

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in Python and/or C++ programming.
  • Experience with procedural animation techniques.
  • Passion for Action-RPG or Soulslike game genres.
