What you will do

• Own end-to-end design, coding, testing, deployment, and operational health of platform services.
• Define and evolve service APIs, tenancy models, data schemas, and migration plans.
• Drive non-functional excellence including performance baselines, load testing, caching, and graceful degradation.
• Collaborate with SRE/DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, progressive delivery, and infrastructure as code.
• Embed security-by-design principles such as authentication, secrets management, and audit trails.
• Lead technical discovery for new capabilities including workflow hooks, rules evaluation, and LLM gateway safety filters.

Requirements

• Must have 5–8 years of backend experience with 2–3 years owning production services at scale.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring or equivalent, with strong understanding of data structures, concurrency, and distributed systems.
• Experience building multi-tenant services with clear APIs and SLAs.
• Hands-on with relational databases, caching, queues/streams, and event-driven patterns.
• Strong CI/CD practices including automated tests, progressive delivery, and rollback discipline.
• Solid understanding of security fundamentals including least privilege and input validation.

Nice to have

• Experience with platformization tools like SDKs, golden templates, and migration toolkits.
• Exposure to search/indexing, rules engines, workflow orchestration, or policy as code.
• Practical experience with cost governance in shared services.
• Experience integrating LLM/AI via gateways or safety layers.
• Prior work on notifications, authentication/authorization, audit, or timezone/globalization concerns.
