What you will do

• Lead architecture and development of internal test automation tools, libraries, and benchmarking utilities.
• Define and evolve quality strategies including testability, release readiness, performance, and reliability.
• Drive cross-organizational quality initiatives to improve execution speed, observability, and feedback loops.
• Identify systemic risks and implement robust validation strategies for business-critical systems.
• Mentor engineers and champion best practices across teams.
• Collaborate with engineering and product leaders to align testing priorities with business objectives.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work hybrid in Bengaluru, India with office presence two days per week
• 12+ years of experience building test automation frameworks and infrastructure at scale.
• Expertise in Java, OOP design principles, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), CI/CD systems, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of data engineering concepts and large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven ability to lead cross-team initiatives and influence quality culture.
• Strong communication skills for complex technical discussions.

Nice to have

• Experience with ELT pipelines, data integrity testing, schema evolution, and pipeline reliability.
• Experience incorporating AI techniques to improve test efficiency and defect detection.
• Knowledge of emerging quality engineering practices like shift-left testing, chaos engineering, and autonomous testing.
