What you will do

• Architect and implement domain-driven data product architectures such as Data Mesh or Medallion Architecture.
• Define and maintain enterprise data architecture roadmap across AWS, Snowflake, and hybrid systems.
• Build and optimize scalable data pipelines and schemas for real-time analytics and AI/ML pipelines.
• Ensure data governance, compliance, and security aligned with GDPR, CCPA, and other regulations.
• Create reusable architecture patterns and enforce standards across engineering teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including ML/AI, product, and data science to enable data-driven innovation.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work hybrid from Waltham, MA or Boston, MA or remotely within the US.
• 12+ years experience in data architecture or engineering with 5+ years in an architect-level role.
• Strong hands-on skills in SQL, Python, and AWS data stack (S3, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, etc.).
• Experience with Snowflake, data mesh principles, and data governance/compliance frameworks.
• Proven ability to design scalable data platforms supporting AI/ML and real-time analytics.
• Excellent collaboration skills working with global engineering, product, and data science teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with machine learning data pipelines and real-time streaming architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink).
• Hands-on knowledge of data observability frameworks and cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Data Analytics Specialty).
• Prior experience in SaaS or marketing technology industries.
