Salary: Up to £220,000 + significant equity

What you will do

• Architect and optimize execution pipelines for OTC and algorithmic crypto trading
• Own the full backend stack: pricing, order logic, risk checks, and execution handling
• Lead a team of engineers with a focus on system performance, clean code, and shipping quickly
• Collaborate directly with trading and quant teams to turn ideas into code
• Build scalable backend services in Rust (or C++) that operate in real-time conditions
• Monitor and refine production systems to ensure uptime, speed, and resilience

Requirements

• Deep backend engineering experience with either Rust or modern C++
• Strong understanding of trading systems and real-time execution (market making, OTC, arbitrage)
• Prior leadership or technical ownership experience
• Track record building latency-sensitive systems from scratch or improving legacy performance
• Comfortable with Python for scripting, analytics, or backtesting
• Solid grasp of systems design, distributed infra, and cloud-based deployment (Docker, K8s, AWS)

Nice to have

• Crypto market experience
• Familiarity with FIX/WebSocket APIs
• Exposure to production monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, etc.)
