What you will do

• Lead by designing, prototyping, and validating bold new product concepts.
• Work directly with C-level management on project exploration and market timing.
• Build and lead a small, senior team of engineers and designers.
• Own projects from early prototype to launch or integration.
• Run short, iterative cycles with demo days and prioritization.
• Create visibility through blog posts, talks, and technical previews.

Requirements

• Recent experience as a Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, or similar in a dev-tool or product-focused software company.
• Track record of shipping zero to one products or high-impact prototypes.
• Broad technical knowledge across backend, frontend, infrastructure, and ML/AI.
• Strong product sense and ability to identify promising directions.
• Hands-on engineer who codes daily.
• Comfortable hiring, coaching, and leading senior engineers.
• Persuasive communication skills with technical peers and executives.
• Thrives in ambiguity and high-pressure cycles.

Nice to have

• Experience with public prototypes, OSS projects, patents, or conference talks.
• Experience in AI/ML, developer tools, or emerging tech R&D teams.
• History of working on special projects or advanced technology.
