What you will do

• Lead and design the evolution of our service discovery and communication frameworks across our microservice architecture.
• Maintain tier-0 availability and performance standards for critical interservice communication infrastructure.
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce authentication, encryption, and policy across service communication layers.
• Guide engineering decisions and mentor junior engineers to elevate the team’s technical proficiency.
• Anticipate infrastructure growth and proactively implement scalable, efficient solutions.

Requirements

• You’ve led teams operating Kubernetes-based platforms at scale on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• You’re an expert in service meshes (e.g., Istio), DNS systems (e.g., CoreDNS, Unbound), and proxies (e.g., Envoy).
• You have deep understanding of secure communication, and have partnered with security teams on policy and encryption implementations.
• You’ve driven the adoption of scalable internal networking and service discovery standards across large organizations.
• You’re a strong communicator with a track record of high-impact technical leadership and mentoring.
