What you will do
- Join the Stockbroking Lab's engineering team and enhance the future platform proposition.
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, architects, and stakeholders to deliver features and functionality.
- Develop and deliver HTTP API services for a new Stockbroking application.
- Work in line with good engineering guidelines and contribute to their development.
Requirements
- Proven experience building backend RESTful APIs in Java.
- Experience with Backend Microservices and frameworks like Spring Boot.
- Ability to develop high quality, testable, re-usable, and modular code with modern Java versions, Spring Boot/Quarkus, Maven, and Kafka.
- Understanding of Clean Code, SOLID principles, Domain Driven Design, and TDD.
- Proficiency with GIT, source code management, and managing concurrent change on large code bases.
- Experience with automation and CI/CD across the SDLC using CI tooling.
- Working with large-scale applications developed with high performance in mind.
- Experience using distributed systems, and ideally asynchronous programming techniques and event driven architectures.
- Familiarity with Cloud native solutions (GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Nice to have
- Delivering software solutions in financial services (particularly trading/investments or wealth).
- Greenfield development experience.
- Delivering large scale data migrations (500k+ customers).
- Expertise in GCP, Quarkus, Kubernetes, and Harness.
