Location: Hybrid in London, UK (at least two days per week in the office)

What you will do

  • Lead a full-stack feature team of mobile, API, and quality engineers specializing in Android.
  • Collaborate with leads, architects, designers, and product owners to define roadmaps and technical designs.
  • Contribute to the codebase and provide oversight and feedback via pull requests.
  • Demonstrate leadership for mobile architecture, API, and micro-service design, with deep Android development knowledge.
  • Provide line-management and personal development support to engineering team members.
  • Develop tactical plans for resource and asset optimization.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading software engineering projects within large, distributed systems.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills to align diverse teams.
  • Proven experience with modern application development approaches including automated testing, TDD, CI, pair programming, code review, and version control.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and strong knowledge of Jetpack Compose.
  • Solid understanding of clean architecture, design patterns (MVP, MVVM, MVI), and principles (SOLID, DRY).
  • Confidence to express opinions and be pragmatic in modifying them.
