TL;DR

Lead Technical Architect (Cloud): Driving the growth of architecture capability and providing technical assurance to engineering teams, with an accent on cloud-based architectures for public services. Focus on shaping, designing, and delivering technical solutions, identifying growth opportunities, and influencing technical strategy.

Location: Hybrid working model. Requires 5 years' continuous UK residency for SC (security check) clearance eligibility.

What you will do

  • Understand client requirements and communicate between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Design and develop public services, ensuring non-functional requirements like security and operability in the cloud are met.
  • Provide technical leadership to delivery teams and strategic architectural advice to clients.
  • Shape and deliver client opportunities, providing pre-sales support and contributing to proposals.
  • Lead and champion technical architecture practices, coaching and mentoring junior team members.
  • Assure the quality of technical deliveries through reviews and guidance.

Requirements

  • Experience driving architecture capability and supporting client deliveries.
  • Ability to shape, design, and deliver predominantly cloud-based architectures.
  • Strong understanding of non-functional requirements, particularly security and operability in the cloud.
  • Experience in technical leadership, influencing decision-makers, and facilitating workshops.
  • Proficiency in pre-sales support and building client relationships for growth.
  • Eligibility for SC (security check) clearance, requiring 5 years' continuous UK residency and 5 years' employment history (or back to full-time education).
