TL;DR
QA Engineer (Gaming): Testing gameplay features for a game development studio with an accent on bug identification, test documentation, and quality validation. Focus on finding and tracking issues, validating fixes, and applying testing theory throughout the software development life cycle.

Location: Kyiv office only; on-site work required

What you will do

  • Identify, log, maintain, and track gameplay issues throughout development and testing.
  • Create bug reports and validate fixes.
  • Create test documentation, including test cases and checklists.
  • Collaborate with developers and work as part of a team.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience as a QA engineer at a development studio.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent understanding of testing theory and ability to apply it in practice.
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle and the QA role within it.
  • Knowledge of modern gaming platforms, PC gaming, and hardware.
  • Ability to find, report, and track bugs during the development and testing life cycle.
  • Ability to solve, manage, and prevent problems independently.
  • Intermediate English or higher and fluent Ukrainian.
  • Passion for video games and commitment to quality and sustainable software.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with game development pipelines and production workflows.
  • Experience with bug-tracking and task-management tools such as Jira.
  • Experience testing across PC and console platforms.
  • Experience with regression testing, smoke testing, and build verification.
  • Passion for games and a strong eye for detail.
