What you will do

• Structure and drive custom silicon partnerships.
• Audit and collaborate with partners to optimize physical design flows and methodologies.
• Ensure PD implementation meets design performance and schedule goals, including DFT, power, and reliability.
• Review final PD, timing, electrical sign-offs for tape-out approval.
• Escalate program risks or resource gaps.
• Manage a small internal team of physical design experts.

Requirements

• Onsite work in Mountain View, California, United States.
• 5+ years leading physical design of high-performance SoCs or ASICs.
• Expert knowledge of backend flows including synthesis, P&R, clocking, timing closure, floor planning, power, and IO planning.
• Experience designing digital logic and/or DFT structures in System Verilog or equivalent.
• Strong team management, leadership, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience driving custom/semi-custom silicon engagements with external partners.
• Knowledge of automotive silicon quality, reliability, and safety requirements.
• Mixed signal design and characterization experience.
• Experience drafting and negotiating technical contracts and SoWs.
• Familiarity with chiplet or multi-chip packaging.
