What you will do
- Structure and drive custom silicon partnerships.
- Audit and collaborate with partners to optimize physical design flows and methodologies.
- Ensure PD implementation meets design performance and schedule goals, including DFT, power, and reliability.
- Review final PD, timing, electrical sign-offs for tape-out approval.
- Escalate program risks or resource gaps.
- Manage a small internal team of physical design experts.
Requirements
- Onsite work in Mountain View, California, United States.
- 5+ years leading physical design of high-performance SoCs or ASICs.
- Expert knowledge of backend flows including synthesis, P&R, clocking, timing closure, floor planning, power, and IO planning.
- Experience designing digital logic and/or DFT structures in System Verilog or equivalent.
- Strong team management, leadership, and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience driving custom/semi-custom silicon engagements with external partners.
- Knowledge of automotive silicon quality, reliability, and safety requirements.
- Mixed signal design and characterization experience.
- Experience drafting and negotiating technical contracts and SoWs.
- Familiarity with chiplet or multi-chip packaging.
