What you will do
- Develop new features, maintain existing features, and improve platform stability for the core platform and OTA connectivity.
- Optimize current OTA connections, improve downtime resilience, and increase edge-case coverage.
- Implement and maintain integrations with future connectivity partners.
- Add your voice to product shaping discussions, ship new core platform features, and iterate based on customer feedback.
- Use software engineering skills to build magical user experiences that are simple for customers and maintainable for engineers.
- Refactor core platform and connectivity code to make it easier to understand, maintain, and test.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on backend technologies.
- Significant experience with Laravel, PHP 7+, MySQL, and testing pipelines in a deployed web application.
- Ability to think through non-obvious usage scenarios and explore ripple effects within complex systems.
- Exceptional written communication skills, crucial for a remote-first, fully distributed company.
- Self-motivated and able to make decisions when surrounded by uncertainty.
- Experience with queue/job-centric backends and building production systems where data ingestion from third-party APIs is critical to the business is a big plus.
