What you will do

• Take full ownership of the financial domain from problem definition to implementation and maintenance
• Decide on priorities and influence business decisions
• Work on performance and scalability of a sharded, CQRS-based architecture
• Develop simple, clear APIs encapsulating financial complexity for hundreds of services
• Participate in company-wide projects onboarding new products and markets
• Collaborate with Product and Finance teams as an advisor for new finance functionalities

Requirements

• Fluency in English
• 8+ years of backend development experience
• Fluency in Java
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or similar
• Expertise in designing and building high-performance, real-time distributed systems
• Experience with database sharding, high-concurrency systems, CQRS, and event-driven architectures
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice to have

• Experience in high-load processing environments, especially fintech
• Experience with global, multi-regional deployment models
• Startup or scale-up experience
