Senior Unity Developer (Madrid)

Location: Must be based in Madrid, Spain; hybrid work from the Madrid office, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain core systems and gameplay features for an online multiplayer game.
• Implement and manage networking features for performance, scalability, and reliable multiplayer functionality.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and programmers to integrate game features.
• Debug complex gameplay, networking, and performance issues.
• Contribute to the architecture, design, quality, and documentation of the game codebase.
• Mentor junior programmers and stay current with multiplayer game development technologies.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in game programming.
• Proven experience working on shipped AA or AAA games and across the full development cycle from concept to launch.
• Fluent Spanish is required.
• Experience with network programming and multiplayer systems.
• Strong knowledge of Unity, Unity physics systems, software architecture, and design patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and collaborative communication.

Nice to have

• Strong knowledge of Photon Quantum.
• Experience with live operations.
