Staff Golang Engineer

TL;DR

Staff Golang Engineer: Designing, developing, and maintaining new product features for the Stock Keeper using Golang with an accent on database structures and efficient queries using Google Spanner. Location: Must be willing to work every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from the office location nearest you.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain new product features for the Stock Keeper using Golang.
• Design and optimize database structures, write efficient queries, and manage data integrity using Google Spanner.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and analytics solutions to track service usage, performance metrics, and service health.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment processes, set up CI/CD pipelines, and manage infrastructure as code.
• Provide technical expertise in product design, development, and delivery.
• Maintain a team of 3-5 developers from a technical perspective.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Backend Developer (including 3+ years as Golang Developer).
• Proficiency in Database and SQL knowledge, including the ability to write and optimize queries for performance.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and microservices architecture.
• Engineering experience running high-load and high-uptime services in production.
• Ability to grow the engineering-excellence culture, and influence larger engineering organizations and mentor other Engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with programming in Python.
• Knowledge of message brokers and event-driven architectures (e.g., Pub/Sub).
• Understanding of security best practices and common vulnerabilities in API integrations.
• Experience with GCP.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
