Lead R&D Engineer (C++ & 3D graphics)

What you will do

• Define and implement proofs-of-concept to demonstrate architecture and value.
• Lead teams defining the architecture and design of new software modules and the transformation of existing modules.
• Perform software development activities in areas including GUI, 3D and 2D visualization, post processing, software design and user experience.
• Investigate problems discovered by QA or product support and develop solutions.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, and lead small teams implementing critical tasks.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8 years of experience, MS with 6 years of experience, or PhD with 4 years of experience.
• Significant experience with architecting large software systems using OOP.
• Commercial software development experience using C++, GIT on Windows and Linux.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, software design principles and design patterns.

Nice to have

• Excellent technical knowledge and commercial experience with C++, OpenGL, GIT, Debugging.
• Experience working for interactive 3D application.
• Deep knowledge of 3D graphics pipeline and OpenGL.
• Experience developing and debugging code on Windows and/or Linux.
• Knowledge of WPF or equivalent GUI technology is a plus.
• Experience delivering high-quality products in a large-scale commercial software development environment
