Electronics Intern (Python)

Electronics Simulation Research and Development Intern (Python): Developing and testing state-of-the-art electromagnetics, circuit, and system simulators with an accent on Mechanical Thermal Analysis and scripting. Focus on specifying test cases, performing functional testing, and collaborating in a distributed team.

Location: Must be based in the Waterloo, ON office

What you will do

• Specify and write test cases, create, modify, and update existing tests, write and maintain test scripts
• Perform functional, application, regression, and performance testing in manual and/or automated test environments
• Create test plans, participate in defect management and testing metrics
• Apply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company's overall development and testing processes
• Work in a variety of computing environments: Windows, Linux, VM’s, Compute Clusters, Cloud

Requirements

• Pursuing MS degree in Aerospace, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning for at least one semester/term after the conclusion of the internship
• Technical knowledge and experience with Mechanical Thermal Analysis
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python
• Experience in a large-scale commercial software testing and verification environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
