Engineering Manager (AI & ML Infrastructure): Responsible for building and scaling the core AI and ML platforms that empower product teams with an accent on architectural decisions, AI safety, and workflows using tools like LangGraph. Focus on fostering a culture of high standards, driving accountability on execution, and ensuring the team has the clarity and support needed to turn ambitious roadmaps into reality.
Location: Hybrid role based in San Francisco, with an expectation to be in office 2-3 days a week
Salary: $159,100 - $213,565

What you will do
- Provide technical leadership and guide the team through complex architectural decisions across the full AI/ML stack.
- Champion AI trust and safety, translating principles into concrete technical controls and guardrails.
- Drive operational excellence by improving MLOps and LLMOps capabilities.
- Execute on strategy and drive alignment, breaking down large initiatives into clear roadmaps.
- Manage stakeholders and communicate progress using KPI-focused metrics.
- Lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of psychological safety and continuous learning.
Requirements
- 2-4+ years in a formal engineering management role leading teams of 4+ engineers.
- 1+ years of experience iteratively building AI-empowered tools and ensuring they operate safely and at scale.
- 5+ years of experience in software or machine learning engineering, with a background as a Senior MLE, SRE, or DevOps Engineer.
- Strong understanding of the modern AI/ML stack, including cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD systems.
- Proficient in Python and have experience with LLM tools like LangGraph and LangSmith.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with product management and other cross-functional partners.
