CI Games is seeking a Principal Technical Animator to shape the future of animation pipelines and systems in Unreal Engine. As part of the studio’s ambitious roadmap with major releases planned for 2025–2028, you will play a key role in building groundbreaking experiences. This is a highly technical role where you will act as the primary Unreal animation expert, mentor the technical animation team, and collaborate across departments to deliver top-quality results.

🚀 Responsibilities
• Define the technical vision for Unreal animation pipelines, tools, and runtime systems
• Design, implement, and maintain complex animation systems with Animation Blueprints and Control Rig
• Research and champion new technologies to improve animation quality and efficiency
• Develop and support tools for the animation team using Python, Blueprints, and C++
• Oversee and contribute to high-quality character, weapon, and vehicle rigs
• Collaborate with engineers to solve technical challenges and ensure stability
• Mentor technical animators and establish best practices for pipelines

📚 Required Skills
• 7+ years in technical animation, with senior or lead experience
• Shipped multiple AA+ titles as a technical animator
• Master-level expertise in Unreal Engine (Animation Blueprints, State Machines, Control Rig)
• Strong knowledge of Blueprints integration with animation systems
• Solid understanding of Physics and Cloth Assets
• Expertise in rigging and skinning realistic characters
• Proven mentoring and leadership skills
• Excellent cross-team communication and collaboration abilities

👍 Nice to Have
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++
• Experience with procedural animation
• Passion for Action RPG or Soulslike games
