Senior SRE / DevOps Engineer H/F

Location: Boulogne-Billancourt, France; hybrid work with up to 2 remote days per week

hirify.global builds a core banking engine for banks and neobanks, covering accounts, payments, and cards. Its platform supports more than 30 regulated financial institutions in 15 countries and manages over 10 million accounts.

What you will do

• Lead the migration of approximately 450 VMware/vSphere VMs across five datacenters to three Kubernetes clusters with approximately 20 nodes, without interrupting banking services.
• Design and implement high-availability architectures and infrastructure extension projects for more than 50 dedicated production platforms.
• Industrialize provisioning, deployments, system updates, and platform operations with Terraform, Ansible, Rundeck, and GitLab CI.
• Own availability, capacity, performance, SLA/SLO commitments, observability, and reliability practices in partnership with development squads.
• Act as Incident Commander for major incidents, lead blameless post-mortems, and drive remediation and recurring root-cause elimination.
• Provide Level 3 infrastructure support, mentor engineers, document architectures and runbooks, lead technical reviews, and contribute to hiring.

Requirements

• Master's degree from a top-tier engineering school or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, or production infrastructure engineer.
• Strong Linux/Debian skills and significant production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with on-premise infrastructure, not only managed public cloud.
• Proven infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform and/or Ansible on real projects.
• Experience with on-call work and production incident management.
• Solid Python or Bash skills.
• Fluent French is required because the team works in French.
• Pragmatic, calm under pressure, communicative, methodical, ownership-oriented, and committed to mentoring and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Strong networking knowledge, including routing, firewalling, and VPNs.
• VMware vSphere and Kubernetes migration experience.
• Experience in regulated or high-availability-critical sectors such as banking, payments, or healthcare.
• Experience working with distributed teams.
• Professional English.
