Security Test Analyst (DAST)

Location: Letterkenny, Ireland; hybrid work with work from home up to 2 days per week depending on team needs

What you will do

• Own security testing activities for software security, quality, and resilience.
• Execute DAST scans, analyse findings, triage vulnerabilities and risks, and track issues in Octane.
• Perform manual security testing and identify repeatable activities for automation.
• Analyse requirements and solution architecture to create security test plans, scenarios, coverage, environments, test data, and tooling.
• Work with developers, architects, and DevOps colleagues to investigate vulnerabilities, support remediation, verify fixes, and identify security gaps.
• Report testing progress, findings, risks, and outcomes while improving automation and integration with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.

Requirements

• Proven Test Analyst experience with hands-on security testing and vulnerability identification.
• Strong knowledge of functional, integration, and security testing methodologies.
• Experience with DAST tools and interpreting, analysing, and triaging security findings.
• Experience testing REST and SOAP web services/APIs using tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
• Experience in Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD environments, including security testing integration into the software development lifecycle.
• ISTQB certification.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess and communicate vulnerabilities, risks, and remediation priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for collaboration with developers, testers, architects, and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and delivery processes.
• Knowledge and experience of OpenText Application Quality Management/Octane.
• Test automation experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Java, and SoapUI.
