Location: Hybrid in Lagos, Nigeria

What you will do

  • Define, architect, and deliver Android features for digital financial products and customer experiences with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
  • Make technical decisions covering application architecture, mobile security, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Develop secure payment, transaction, wallet, authentication, identity verification, and other fintech solutions.
  • Integrate APIs, payment gateways, banking services, and third-party financial platforms with backend engineers.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide technical mentorship, and promote Android engineering best practices.
  • Create reusable components, libraries, documentation, and technical standards while recommending improvements to the Android platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of fintech experience.
  • Strong experience with Kotlin, Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack Components, Coroutines, and modern Android development practices.
  • Deep understanding of MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, and modular application design.
  • Experience integrating payment solutions, digital wallets, transaction processing systems, KYC services, financial APIs, or banking platforms.
  • Experience publishing and maintaining Android applications on the Google Play Store.
  • Experience with automated unit, integration, and UI testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including translating complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across Product, Design, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, and Business teams.
