Application Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; other location: Czechia. Hybrid work. Applicants permanently located outside Poland may not be considered.

What you will do

• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing of products and services.
• Integrate secure development practices into the software development lifecycle with development teams.
• Collaborate on security design and implementation within products.
• Perform threat modeling and design reviews for new and existing products.
• Conduct manual source code security audits and use automated application-analysis tools.

Requirements

• Ability to read source code in languages such as C, C++, C#, and JavaScript.
• Good understanding of secure software development principles.
• Desire to develop in application security.
• Clear logic, analytical skills, and a flexible mindset.
• Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
• English proficiency required for daily communication within international teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ruby.
• Knowledge of modern cryptographic algorithms.
• Experience with DAST and SAST tools.
• Experience using OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, and Kali Linux tools.
• Security certifications such as OSCP, CEH, CSSLP, CCSP, or AWS Certified Security.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with CTFs, HackTheBox, or bug bounty hunting.
