Senior Risk Data Scientist (Fintech)

Location: Colombia; hybrid work with the option to work remotely or from one of the company’s offices

hirify.global, formerly Different Technologies, is launching a new financial-services business line in Colombia.

What you will do

• Design, build, and own end-to-end machine learning models supporting real credit decisions.
• Manage the full model lifecycle, including feature engineering, development, deployment, monitoring, and retirement.
• Build predictive models for adjacent risk functions, including churn or attrition prediction for issued loans and reserve calculations.
• Establish production ML model management practices that maintain stability and reliability as data volume grows.
• Collaborate with Risk Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and Risk-tech strategy teams on model implementation.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on, production-level Data Science experience.
• Hands-on experience across the full ML model lifecycle: development, deployment, monitoring, and decommissioning.
• Strong foundation in ML algorithms, feature engineering, and model development.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Airflow, Git, and BI or Streamlit.
• Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related STEM field from a top technical university.
• Ability to work independently and own problems end-to-end.
• B1 or higher English proficiency for communication with an international team.

Nice to have

• Experience in banking or financial services, with an understanding of how risk decisions are embedded in financial products.
