Cyber Security Defense - Service Edge Specialist (SSE)

Location: Naples, Italy; hybrid working model with 2 days per week remotely

Gross annual salary: €33,000–€37,000 gross per year, paid over 14 monthly installments

What you will do

• Administer and maintain enterprise Secure Service Edge (SSE) and Secure Web Gateway (SWG) platforms.
• Design, implement, test, optimize, and review internet security policies, including URL filtering, DNS security, SSL/TLS inspection, application control, and web access controls.
• Manage endpoint connectivity agents through deployment, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor platform health, service availability, policy effectiveness, user experience, web traffic, and internet security events.
• Investigate and resolve internet access security incidents, policy violations, and service disruptions.
• Support Zero Trust Network Access initiatives, security assessments, compliance reviews, and cloud-delivered security projects in collaboration with network, infrastructure, endpoint, and cybersecurity teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• 2–5 years of experience in Cyber Security, Network Security, Secure Service Edge, Secure Web Gateway, or Security Engineering.
• Basic understanding of Zero Trust architectures and cloud-delivered security services.
• Knowledge of web security technologies, proxy architectures, internet access controls, and security policy management.
• Experience managing endpoint agents and client connectivity solutions.
• Familiarity with SSL/TLS inspection, URL filtering, DNS security, web threat protection, and application control technologies.
• Understanding of identity and access management concepts, including integration with enterprise identity providers.
• Fluent Italian and fluent English, written and spoken, are mandatory.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, coordination, attention-to-detail, and security-oriented skills.
• Right to work in Italy is required.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a consulting company.
• Experience in multinational or complex enterprise environments.
• Zscaler, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft, CompTIA Security+, or ISC2 cybersecurity certifications.
