Senior Fullstack Developer (PHP, Marketing Platforms)

Location: Malta; relocation support is available, including a paid flight, four weeks of accommodation, and a relocation bonus.

What you will do

• Participate in the analysis, design, development, testing, release, administration, tuning, and implementation of web solutions across front-end and back-end systems.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Develop integrations, prototypes, and proof of concepts for cloud systems, marketing platforms, Google products, and external systems connected to internal company systems.
• Maintain and extend the hirify.global digital environment and technological assets; upgrade, configure, debug, and support web applications.
• Improve platform architecture, troubleshoot code, perform code reviews, and mentor developers.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a PHP developer is required, with solid PHP and framework experience such as CakePHP or Laravel.
• Solid JavaScript experience with framework knowledge such as Vue.js.
• Solid Linux shell scripting and environment monitoring experience.
• Solid database development experience, including database design, SQL, and SQL query optimization.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Familiarity with Agile engineering practices.
• Initiative, self-motivation, effective time management, teamwork, and willingness to share knowledge.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, or equivalent in the software development lifecycle.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of cloud architectures and services, preferably AWS, including EC2, networking fundamentals such as VPCs, subnets, and security groups, and data processing services such as AWS Glue.
