Senior Network Engineer (Cisco/Versa)

What you will do

• Optimize and maintain Cisco LANs across headquarters and remote offices, troubleshoot complex issues, and support LAN enhancement and new-office projects.
• Manage bank-wide Versa SDWAN connectivity between headquarters, remote offices, the Geneva disaster recovery site, and Azure virtual data centers.
• Support Versa SDWAN hardware, diagnose WAN issues, and maintain infrastructure stability, security, and availability.
• Manage relationships with Internet Service Providers, monitor performance, escalate incidents, and maintain public IP address records.
• Automate Field Office LAN administration with Python and Ansible Tower.
• Create Datadog dashboards and monitor network devices to identify issues proactively.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of professional experience in computer networking.
• Comprehensive knowledge of network topologies, architectures, protocols, TCP/IP, and OSI model layers.
• Deep understanding of OSPF, BGP, STP, VLANs, trunking, and inter-VLAN routing.
• Extensive experience configuring Cisco switches and Versa SDWAN devices.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and Ansible for network automation, plus experience with network monitoring systems, preferably Datadog.
• Ability to assess network performance, identify improvements, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ownership of assigned workloads and effective collaboration toward team, divisional, and departmental goals.
• Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions, including sedentary computer-based work and occasional movement around the office.

Nice to have

• Networking certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Juniper JNCIP/JNCIE, or equivalent.
• Datadog Certified Champion certification.
