Test Automation Engineer (Java)

Location: Remote from Austria, Germany, Spain, the UK, Italy, Hungary, Portugal, or Croatia.

What you will do

• Continuously evolve and improve the test and quality assurance infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain backend QA infrastructure using JUnit 5 and Spring, with Kubernetes-related testing.
• Perform chaos testing, performance testing, regression testing, and software release monitoring.
• Define and implement test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios with the product team.
• Identify defects, report them to developers, and coordinate regression fixes and production deployment preparation.
• Support CI/CD using GitLab, Maven, and Docker.

Requirements

• Profound knowledge of Java.
• Professional experience in quality assurance.
• Solid experience with automated and manual testing using frameworks such as JUnit 5, Selenium, and Cypress.
• Experience with API and UI testing frameworks.
• Good written and spoken technical English.

Nice to have

• Ongoing or completed IT education through HTL, FH, or university.
• Experience with Kubernetes or GitLab.
• Experience in security testing.
