Production Assistant Apprenticeship - Level 3 - Live Music & Events (Live Music & Events)

Location: London Broadcasting House, London, UK; candidates must live within a commutable distance and have lived in the UK continuously for the last three years. The role requires full-time UK work eligibility and travel to in-person learning blocks and apprenticeship-related activities when necessary.

Salary: £24,650 plus £5,441 London weighting.

What you will do

• Support the delivery of major live music events, including Radio 1 Big Weekend, Radio 2 in the Park, the 6 Music Festival, and Asian Network Live.
• Research content, develop ideas and stories, and find guests and participants.
• Assist production teams on location, in studios, TV galleries, and on studio floors.
• Support the use of cameras, sound, lighting, editing equipment, and specialist software.
• Create content for multiple platforms, including social media, under professional guidance.
• Attend on- and off-the-job learning blocks toward the Level 3 Production Assistant qualification.

• The scheme is aimed at non-graduates.
• Applicants must be at least 18 by the apprenticeship start in September 2027.
• Applicants must have lived in the UK continuously for the three years before the apprenticeship starts and be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK for the full duration.
• Applicants must not currently be enrolled in another apprenticeship.
• Applicants under 19 on 7 September 2027 must have, or obtain before the end-point assessment, the specified Maths and English GCSE, National 5, Functional Skills Level 2, or equivalent qualifications.
