Production Assistant Apprenticeship - Level 3 (BBC Archive Content)

Location: Belfast – Broadcasting House, UK; applicants must live within commuting distance and be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK. The role includes work on location, in studios and TV galleries, plus travel to in-person learning blocks and apprenticeship activities across the UK where required.

Salary: £24,650 for a fixed-term, full-time 13-month apprenticeship.

What you will do

• Research content and help develop ideas and stories, including finding guests and participants.
• Assist production teams on location, in studios, TV galleries and on studio floors.
• Support cameras, sound, lighting, editing and other production equipment and specialist software.
• Create content for multiple platforms, including social media, under experienced supervision.
• Attend in-person and virtual learning blocks while working toward the Level 3 Production Assistant qualification.

• Non-graduate status; candidates with a degree should apply for similar hirify.global roles or other apprenticeship schemes.
• Must be aged 18 or over by the apprenticeship start in September 2027.
• Must have lived continuously in the UK for the three years before the apprenticeship starts and be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK for its entire duration.
• Must not be enrolled in another apprenticeship programme.
• Applicants under 19 on 7 September 2027 must hold the specified Maths and English GCSE, National 5, Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, or achieve Functional Skills Level 2 before the end-point assessment.
