Lead Go Developer

Location: Baku, Azerbaijan. Work can be fully remote, from the office, or hybrid.

What you will do

• Design and evolve high-performance, scalable distributed systems in Go.
• Select appropriate concurrency models and balance performance with maintainability.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to turn business goals into technical plans and delivery roadmaps.
• Identify edge cases, risks, and technical constraints early in the planning process.
• Represent engineering in external stakeholder meetings and explain technical topics in business-oriented terms.
• Lead code reviews and improve CI/CD pipelines and engineering processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial development experience, including 5+ years with Go.
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership role.
• Higher education in Computer Science, software development, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with AI and implementing or configuring AI within a team.
• Experience in fintech or banking and with complex integrations.
• Strong Go/Golang skills, including scalable distributed backend design and concurrency patterns such as goroutines, channels, and synchronization primitives.
• Experience with high-performance, maintainable system design and CI/CD tools and pipelines such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Advanced English or higher is required.
