Mobile App Developer - Android (Kotlin)

What you will do

• Build and maintain native Android applications with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, and Material Design 3.
• Help develop the flagship mobile application from the ground up and shape its architecture and technical direction.
• Integrate Kotlin Multiplatform modules for shared business logic, networking, and data management, along with third-party APIs and services.
• Build responsive layouts for phones, foldables, and tablets, and develop Android App Widgets.
• Optimize Compose performance, application launch times, stability, and asynchronous data flows.
• Collaborate with iOS/Swift engineers, product managers, UX/UI designers, and cross-functional teams through Agile planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of professional Android development experience with production applications.
• Strong practical knowledge of Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, and Material Design 3.
• Experience with MVVM or MVI architecture, Coroutines, Flows, and separation of UI state from business logic.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and WebSockets and working with asynchronous data using Ktor or Retrofit.
• Hands-on experience building Android App Widgets with Glance or RemoteViews.
• Proficiency with Git, Gradle Kotlin DSL, Version Catalogs, clean code, maintainable architecture, and moderate algorithmic problem-solving.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, participate in code reviews, and communicate technical decisions clearly.
• Willingness to explore and learn parts of the Apple ecosystem when required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform/KMM or native iOS development.
• Experience building custom graphics and charts with Compose Canvas, including K-line charts, curves, and pie/bar charts.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor, with the ability to test, audit, and own AI-generated code.
• Product-first mindset focused on intuitive, performant, user-focused mobile experiences.
